  • Yes, we only use 100% soy wax. Our candles do not contain any other types of wax, including paraffin.

  • We exclusively use fragrances that are free from phthalates, known carcinogens, mutagens, and toxins, as well as all materials on California’s Prop 65 list. These fragrance oils are safe for use in the home. They are considered clean fragrance oils even though they are not essential oils.

  • This usually is due to excess carbon deposits at the top of the wick, called mushrooming. To solve this problem, extinguish the candle and trim the wick to a ¼ inch height before relighting. For more tips on burning your candle, see our candle burning guide.

  • Wax is left on the side of your candle when it is burned for only a short period of time. When you light your candle, make sure you let the wax melt all the way to the edge of the container before extinguishing (about 2 hours is standard). Repeated short burn times will lead to tunneling, which leaves you with unused wax when the wick is spent.

  • Soy wax candles commonly have some pitting or cratering on their surfaces. This is due to uneven cooling which is common with 100% soy wax candles. Fortunately, this deformity is purely cosmetic and will not affect the quality of the burn or the scent throw. Take it as reassurance that you have a 100% natural soy wax candle.
